LET’S TALK
Don’t Settle For GOOD – GO BEYOND
Aim High and Reach YOUR Goals with Mentoring
We have ambitions, we have desires and dreams. Often we don’t pursue any as we are alone because our environment is telling that we cannot do it and it kills our self confidence and we settle for good.
It is the skills of the Mentor to mirror the great in you and help you to find your dream again, plan for it, own it, believe it, strategise and implement.
How Does Mentoring Work?
After enrolling with Project-Mentors™ and familiarising yourself with our terms and conditions, we will have a brief online gathering, referred to as a chemistry meeting, to determine how we should move forward with the mentor partnership and decide what steps to take next.
Our key ingredients for a fruitful mentor partnership with Project-Mentors™:
- We build a strong rapport that is nourished throughout the mentor partnership
- We agree on mutual respect for each other’s time & commitment
- We have clear communication und aim for deeper understanding
- We come with a growth mindset and dedication to self‐learning
- We maintain at all times professional standards and ethics

WHAT A MENTOR MUST BRING TO THE TABLE
When you want to run a marathon first time and you need advise how you do it best being in your personal situation, you want to hear from a mentor who wears a 42km finisher t-shirt . Been there, done that. When someone has already gone through the same journey that you are just beginning, it is only natural that their experience will be greater than yours. However, a great mentor provides more than just knowledge; they also provide wisdom. A great mentor will help you to learn from your own mistakes rather than micromanage or tell you exactly what to do. Therefore, a great mentor will spend more time listening to you, understand you and your experiences and and offer guidance towards your own goals, open up for different perspectives on your ideas and facilitate your plans to achieve your targets.
Your mentor must be available when you need help and the problem is fresh. It is the trust built with great rapport and the confidence that the mentor is there when you need him or her to give you a piece of mind.
Traditional One-on-one Mentoring
A face to face meetup over a number of sessions and pre-defined period of time.
Distance Mentoring
A virtual relationship over a number of sessions and pre-defined period of time.
Group Mentoring
A mentor is matched with a cohort of mentees for a specific number of sessions.
Tailored Training
Special courses to support the mentoring process or in-house learning
A Mentor also will
- pose challenging questions, give constructive and honest feedback
- offer guidance and empower the mentee to make their own decisions
- open doors and share relevant professional contacts and resources
- share their own experiences, best practises and lessons learned
- show agility to the situation and methods used for the best outcome for all involved
From The Founder
ARE YOU READY FOR A MENTOR?
When we agree on what a mentor should bring to the table, it is a two way partnership, whereby the mentee must be open for mentoring in the first place.
Here we use the research from Carol Dweck about growth mindset to explain that a mentee needs the understanding that it is possible to learn new things, to have choices, and with time and effort, anything can be learned and achieved.
Being a mentee is not just receiving pats on the shoulder, its is to roll up the sleeves and take action. Ultimately the result counts. But we emphasise on smart actions with agile and hybrid methods to implement small daily increments and compound achievements over weeks and months.
